Hi! I’m Tova, a 38-year-old solo female traveler. I thrive on solo exploration. In the past 3 years alone, I’ve traveled solo to over 22 countries.

My goal with this blog is:

  1. To inspire others who want to travel solo. I held myself back for way too long, residing in fear and living a comfortable, mostly boring life. Once I started traveling more frequently, I quickly built confidence- but fear and nerves still find their way in. You can acknowledge it, but go anyway.
  2. To share how the world is filled with mostly kind people.
  3. To share tips and stories so you can learn to pack light, both physically and mentally. I want to be authentic and vulnerable here, and thus you’ll find snippets of my journal and other writings here like my poetry.

In my 20s I explored parts of South America and Europe but only venturing out for a few weeks a year.

In my 30s, I started traveling solo for longer periods of time.

At 35, I went to Mexico and Europe (England, Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Croatia, Greece, Turkey).

At 36, I went to Guatemala and Europe (Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Faroe Islands, Italy, Germany).

At 37 years old, I finally went on my Dream Trip. I took 6 months off to travel the world and went to Asia & South America (Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, South Korea, Ecuador & Colombia). I also spent some time beforehand on shorter solo + family trips to Spain, Israel and Iceland.
